Kate is an OBGYN physician committed to enhancing healthcare accessibility, particularly for underserved populations. Having grown up in Silicon Valley during the dot com boom, Kate knows technology can both help and hinder progress and equality. She is dedicated to ensuring it does the former. Kate is involved in ACOG leadership, was a previous leader of Oklahoma’s Maternal Mortality Review Committee, and currently serves on the Maternal Care Professionals Advisory Committee under the Washington, DC Board of Medicine. She also works as an advisory board member for femtech companies.
Kate is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and has won numerous awards for her clinical and community work, including the Castle Connolly Rising Star Top Doctors Award, Indigo Rainbow Award (for her LGBTQ+ advocacy), CREOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching, and the Vanderslice Outstanding Teaching Award. Kate lives in Washington, DC and enjoys spending time with her wife, their kids, and their two dogs.
